I spliced in about 3 ft of clear line to see if I had an air leak in the fuel system. Boat has been running rough and cuts out and back fires when advancing the throttles. I had to splice the line in prior to the fuel/water separator as it is a hard line/braided line combo between separator and carb. I expected the clear line to fill with fuel. It didn't. I had fuel about the first 6 inches and I had fuel the last 6 inches of the clear line, but the engine ran and was never starved for gas, even up to 4000 rpms. Ran the engine for a total of 15 minutes. Can I write off airleak as a problem or is this not normal?
