Just put in all new gauges. All working fine except fuel gauge. When i fill the tank, the gauge reads 3/4. It seems to work fine when im on the water. The problem is, I dont know if its empty at E or if i have another 1/4. I didnt think it was the sender since it was still working. The gauge definitly goes down as I drive the boat for a while, then i fill it and it goes back to 3/4. Any ideas???

Re: Fuel Gauge Help

im having problems with mine too. first, check all the connections and grounds(on the gauge AND the sender). i was having a similar problem and when i went to test the resistance on the sender i noticed a loose ground wire that i believe was the problem(didnt test it on the water yet).

second, test the resistance at the sender. i believe it ranges from 30-240 ohms?(full to empty) someone else can clarify that one.

hope that helps...
