My fuel sender unit is bad and I need to find a replacement as soon as possible. I've comfirmed the gauge is still good. The old sender says 240 Ohms on the side. O'Reilly's can order one that looks similar to mine, it's 33 to 240 Ohms, and It has an adjustable float arm.

Will this unit work or should I look somewhere else.

I haven't got mine hooked up yet, but I bought a new one from West Marine for about $30. It has an adjustable length for tanks from 4 to 24" tall.

Re: Fuel Gauge Sender Unit

Thanks for the input. My old unit has 2 wires like the replacement they sell. The replacement unit is made to adjust the length of the float arm, I'm sure it is as close to the original I'm going to find here in town. The old unit was made in 1987. OReillys price is $24.00 + probably some freight.
