Fuel Gauge

Has anyone ever had a problem with their fuel gauge? This past weekend I filled up the gas tank and then went water skiing & wake boarding for about an hour to an hour and a half. I know I used plenty of fuel but my gauge is now stuck on full.

I went to the marina and topped up the tank, managed to get 30 liters in the tank so I know the gauge should have read almost 3/4's full at the time.

Any ideas?

Cheers.

Re: Fuel Gauge

In the motor compartment just in front of the lower engine pulley will be the fuel tank float assy. with a black wire for ground and a pink wire that will go to the gauge . if the black has come loose at the gauge or the tank the gauge will stay at the full reading . Does the gauge actually read below the full mark or on the full mark??

It reads right on the full mark. I'll try that this weekend and see what happens.
