Where do I start to decide what to get. No posts, no stickies, etc found readily available.
I got a variable fuel sender with the puck that floats up and down. I turned it on and it read as expected. I got on the water at the dock and looked at it longer than 5 seconds and it bounced a lot as the previous did. I'm going to verify the Ohms are accurate and steady (denoting that the signal is not jumping) , but I'm 95% sure it's the gauge. OH, did I mention the ground and "S"/gauge wire are brand new and I added another new ground to a screw that bolts the sender down. And you thought new wiring would be an easy answer
All are crimped with heat shrink marine connectors then painted with liquid electrical tape on the ground bar/junction unit and at the ground attached to the mounting bolt on the unit, and sprayed with corrosion block on the gauge so the wiring should be A+
I don't want a computer just yet. I'm trying to find a normal full range variable gauge. I was told Moellor is just a three setting system e.g. full. 1/2 and empty... WTF???
What about Teleflex Omega series for $32.99 http://www.westmarine.com/webapp/wc...toreNum=10106&subdeptNum=10474&classNum=10475
Anyone know anything about gauges?
