I have a 5 HP Honda kicker and am tired of having that extra tank always in the way.
I would like to tap into my main boat fuel line but have heard horror stories of folks doing just that and burning up a power head.
I am looking for the absolute correct way to accomplish this with zero risk.. I want to be able to run both engines at the same time for those oh no- moments.
What are my options?
Louie..

Re: Fuel Hookup Options

on your hull water seperator you will see an unused and plugged fueloutlet.
tap your kicker engine to that WITH an on off valve.
make sure any time the kicker is not in use and the main engine is the kicker fuel supply valve is OFF.
this will prevent air from being drawn from the kicker fuel line and leaning out the main motor at high speeds.
