Fuel Issue

Yesterday I was out on the boat (350 gm Inboard) and it was running great WOT until the gas guage read about 1/4 tank. I could do 3000 rpm just fine, but when I went to accelerate, the engine began to lose power and sound like it was running out of gas. Back it down to ~ 3000 rpm and everything was fine. Could this be my gas guage giving me a faulty reading? Has anyone else ever had this problem with low gas? Thanks.

Re: Fuel Issue

Ayuh,.......

And Gas Gauges on boats are Notoriously Inaccurate..........

I'd Gas Up,+ If that doesn't Fix It,....... Change the Filters..........

Re: Fuel Issue

That's what I figured, low gas. I'll try that next time I go out. I was just wondering if anyone had ever experieced this before. Thanks for the replies.

Re: Fuel Issue

I experienced the same exact problem yesterday with my outboard, wondering if you solved your problem?
