I have a Evinrude 150 when I pump the ball up it gets hard then if I let it sit for a sec then grab it again it is soft. When I am pumping I can hear it going to the motor. What might my issue be? When I took it out Friday it ran terrible.

It sounds like some sort of pressure loss. Have you inspected your line and fittings for cracks or rot? How old is your line?

No I haven't checked that yet I will try to get to it tonight. I know they are atleast 2 yrs old since I have had the boat.
Thanks

Re: Fuel Issue ?

The fuel hose primer bulb will get hard when you first pump it up each day prior to a cold start. Once the engine runs, the bulb will get soft-but should not collapse. That's normal. Sounds odd, but it's best if the arrow on the primer bulb is in the up position. If the arrrow is oriented downward it's possible that the ball valves in the hose bulb won't stay closed properly. Make sure you have no fuel leaks in the fuel lines under the cowling. If fuel is leaking out, air can leak in-causing running problems.

I see that you took it out Friday. How long did it sit before you fired it up last Friday and how did it run then?
