i posted yesturday under the same title. i have the 93 90 hp envinrude that every time you get on plane runs the bulb dry of fuel. this then causes the motor to go back to an idle and stall. if some one pumps the ball the whole time it runs great. well today i replaced the fuel bulb and the problems still there. the guy at the marine store said there was a check valve in the bulb that sometimes goes bad and apparently this was not the problem. i pulled the hose off the fuel pump that goes to the carbs. i started the motor up and no gas came out at all unless i pumped the bulb. i am guessing this means the fuel pump is not operating correctly. i am guessing while the engines running the pump should be spitting out fuel. i am not very fimiliar with this style pump so i have a few questions. first how does that diaphram compress there is a wiring harness that was not hooked up? is the fuel pump mechanical or elictrical? i think the wiring harness was disconnected when the previous owner took off the oil injection. this is the pump thats all one piece oil pump and fuel pump. sorry this is so long but this is driving me crazy. thank you for your help and suggestions yesterday.
