i bought my yamaha 30hp dro built in 2000 and its state is like new, except when it is running i observed a leak of fuel from the middle carburetor (the one where the fuel pump is fixed on , but on the opposite part of the pump)
the leaking flows from a hole situated on the upper right side of the carb (all 3 carburetors have that hole , but only from the middle one is leaking fuel)
i am new in boating, please help me. thanks

Re: fuel leaking from carb

Howdy, ovidiu.

Welcome to iboats. :)

No need for a poll. Your middle carb probably has a stuck or leaking float valve, incorrectly adjusted float level or something preventing the float needle from seating.

Any of the above will allow the fuel pump to pump more fuel into the carb than the bowl can hold. The overflow is the leak you see.

Using a Service Manual, remove and overhaul that carb.

Good luck. :)

Re: fuel leaking from carb

Thanks a lot.
Unfortunately i did not get a service manual with the outboarder , so I will try to fix it based on my experience with car carburetors. I suppose it is similar.
Before that , please tell me where can I find the service manual on the internet
thanks again ,ovidiu

You might find a Service Manual on eBay, ovidiu.

Good luck. :)
