Fuel Line Hose - Volvo TAMD41B Diesel

The yard replaced the lines to and from the fuel tanks on my Volvo TAMD41B diesel inboard engines. Three months later, they're leaking.

If you have this engine with original hoses, can you tell me what the hose diameter is?

The yard used 3/8" - 9.5mm hoses. The barbs are 9mm and the hose goes off and on easily unless clamped.

Should the clamps be over the narrow part of the fitting (to hold the hose on) or the barbs? Or try to fit two clamps on?

I would suggest using 5/16 (8mm) fuel line. It should be able to be pushed over the 9mm barbed fitting. Get a short piece and give it a try
