I would like to replace all three of my fuel lines pictured. They are old and ugly and the black rubber one coming from the tank is leaking slightly. I would like to replace them all with steel braided lines but I dont know where to start. Are the sizes of the fittings standard? If so, what are they? What am I working with here? As best I could work out, I would need two lines at roughly 12-14" in length and a third at about 24-28" in length. I have an Edelbrock 1409 carburetor as well.

Also, How can I plug the line where the black rubber hose line comes out at? I need to pull this fuel line off but dont know what thread size/type to buy a plug for. Also, is there an option for a fuel shut off valve that is integrated into a steel braided line? Ideally, I would like to replace the black rubber hose with a steel braided one that has an integrated shut off valve.

Sorry for all the questions, this is all new stuff for me.

I used this from fuel pump to carb on mine:
SIERRA 18-8114 BRAIDED FUEL LINE USCG
SAE J1527 Type A1

Thanks Howard. That helps me with one piece of the puzzle. I have been doing a little more research and it looks like as long as I get A1 USCG approved line I can use whatever I want. I dont think I've seen basic steel braided line that I would cut myself and use AN fittings meet the A1 rating. Can you confirm this?

I'm not too familiar with USCG regs because I'm not in the US, but one of my i/o boats just has 3/8" copper line from the bow tank right to the bilge compartment. That has served well since 1967.
My Bayliner has flex line from the tank.

Maybe a thread in general section about i/o USCG regs (not OMC specific) would get some more answers. - could link it to this thread.
