Fuel Line TOO Costly

Merc. 500-50hp requires (3)3" rubber replacement fuel delivery hoses. At a price of $30. Who are they kidding,they look like automotive reinforced hoses.Can't I use they automotive hose,& save some $$'s.<br /> Its not like it's going to rust, right..!!

If you're talking about the hoses under the cowling - connector to fuel pump, fuel pump to carb, carb to carb, then by all means, go down to the NAPA store, get some brass NPT barbs, some stainless hose clamps and some 5/16" USCG rated fuel line....<br />- Scott

Just go to Boaters World or West Marine. They sell it by the foot and it is marine rated.
