Is it normal to have to pump the primer bulb if you leave the boat for an hour or a day. should'nt there still be gas in the bowls?. My carbs seem to be leaking back into the system. Could this be a defective check valve in the pump or bulb??

Re: fuel loss

Yes it could well be, although don't be alarmed. My primer needs an occasional pump during the day. It needs it under different conditions and it would be too hard to specify them all but I don't worry as when she's running she's sweet. I don't have any leaks or loss of fuel outside of the fuel line. If I did then the authorities would let me know I'm sure!
Good luck.
Ross
