fuel/oil mixture

I have a 1961 Lark lll 40 hp. I have been told 4 different oil ratios for it. Is it 24:1, 32:1, 40:1, or 50:1. The most knowledgable person I asked said 32:1.

If you don't want to use the ratio in your owner's manual, why not play it safe and use the BRP recommended ratio: http://www.evinrude.com/en-US/About.Us/FAQ/Oil.Fuel.htm

i had a 63 and a 66 i ran them on 50:1. when they went to roller berrings is when they went to 50:1. don`t know the year the babbit berrings ended .
a dealer should have a book or know what to use .

I Would Use 24 To 1. OLDER MOTORS NEED IT.
