Re: Fuel Panhandlers
About 5 yrs ago, while getting gas, I was approached by a young pitifull acting woman who claimed she needed 5 bucks for gas to get home ( a town about 30 miles down the interstate ). Her beat up car had an unoccupied babyseat in the backseat and her country accent and shabby clothes made me think she was really in a bind so I gave her $10. A month later I saw her working the cash regester at a BBQ joint near my jobs office. A few weeks later I saw in the paper she was arrested for larceny for stealing money from the BBQ business........and possession of Methamphetamine  Lots of curbside beggers around here at interstate offramps. I only hand them a bottled water or a pack of Nabs now and then, no money.
