I have a 1990 175hp Johnson Outboard that looses its prime.. the bulb pumps up hard but looses its prime and i have to pump the bulb back up.. any tips?
SWAG......check valve in the bulb is not sealing or floats in the carb are not sealing and holding.......which should cause flooding and hard starting.
When does it lose its prime? While its running? Does the motor die or the bulb just gets soft. The bulb will get soft while the motor is running. Thats perfectly normal.
