Fuel problem after sitting a couple days

1984 5.7 Runs great but after it sites for a couple days I have to poor a little gas in the carb to get her primed up then it runs fine starts perfect. But let her site and the bowl seems to drain or evaporate is this a common problem and is there a fix? thanks

Typical of the well plugs on a quadrajet, yes. Google for lots of procedures to fix it up, if that's what you're indeed running.

Yes its a guadrajet. I did google before I posted but didn't find any real answers . But it definitely sounds like that's the problem the well plugs I have never had 1 of these carbs a part is this a complicated job. Im very macanical just not much experience with carbs

Yea, they are a complicated little beast, but for me taking some time to really study the diagrams and talking to folks really put it in perspective - it is just a mechanical device, after all...and when they're right, I believe it's the best thing short of F.I. Cliffshighperformance web site is a good place to start.
