1974 75hp chrysler. I was going down the lake and the motor started to die. I noticed i have to keep pumping the bulb to keep the carbs full. If not the motor runs on the fuel thats in the carb. It dont seem to be sucking it out of the tank. But at one time when it started to sputter and primer bulb went flat. I had to unhook it from the fuel tank to let air back in the line and then pumped it back. Is it the fuel pump? the connector? or what Any help would be great. I hate to have to pump that thing going down the lake all the time.

Chris

Re: Fuel Problem

Hi Chris...

Check the vent on the gas tank....sounds like it's not open or is plugged.

Re: Fuel Problem

check that for sure. If not that change ball and fuel filter. If that dont do it need to rebuild your carbs thay may be jelled up.
