I have a 97 DT40 pull start that starts and runs fine but after running for awhile it starts loosing speed at wot. It feels like the engine is pulsating. It I pump on the bulb it picks back up for 30-40 seconds and then starts the same thing again! It never dies out and running at 1/2 or 3/4 throttle is fine. It will idle all day long! This started after putting some seafoam in my plastic tank and running it for a bit. Could a piece of dirt have loosened up and is now sticking somewhere? Would it run good at idle ect with a bad fuel pump?
Thanks

Re: Fuel problem

The sea-foam could have loosednd some junk that got into your carbs, give them a cleaning. Also with the age of the motor, take a look at your fuel pump, might be time for a rebuild.
