Help, I just changed the mechanical fuel pump on my 1988 GM 350 Mercruiser in a Malibu Skier inboard. All is well but after I finished I had a bad thought, should I have greased the moving lever and parts in the pump before installation or does it get oil from the motor as it works. I am not happy about having to take it off and grease it but if I have to it will be a lesson! Thanks.
