I am going to be installing this fuel pump however I am not positive which connection goes where on this. Can someone tell me where the Main fuel hose, Return line and hard fuel line should connect. The service manual and the instruction for the fuel pump do not show the connections. Thank you

Does the new pump look like the old pump?
Not knowing what engine this pump is for, if the engine is carbureted, there is no return fuel line. The barb is for the clear hose to the carburetor/flame arrestor.
My first thought is, look at the old pump.

Re: Fuel pump connections help

Put your finger over one of the large fittings, pump the handle and see if it sucks or blows, that is where you hook the fuel lines. The small one goes to the carb vent.

Yes it is similar or same as the original different color but that's the only difference I can see. It is carberated and the clear line is what i thought the return was. I tried covering the pump with my finger but i couldn't tell if it was sucking or not

the motor is a 165 mercruiser 1977 GM model
