I just finished up my conversion from the VRO to non-VRO on my 1995 50 hp 3 cylinder and it ran like a champ on the ear muffs in the driveway. I did have a gasket that was not seated properly on the lower carb float bowl but I got that squared away and I will be taking a ride on the lake in the am when I get off of shift. Thanks to everyone that pm'd me and posted up pics and info. Ya'll rock!! Hank

Well the good thing is that the VRO was already plugged off when I got the boat and I have been pre-mixing for the last year so I really don't know any other way. I am off to the lake to try her out. I will post up how it turns out. I hope I can finally get my RPM's above 4500.. I think the 4 pin holes in my old diaphram were the culpret?? I guess I will find out..Adios' for now..Hank

Re: Fuel pump conversion worked..Thanks!!!

Well my test run created a whole new thread ..It ran really good, idled perfect and ran up to 4000 rpm's at about 32 mph but that was it for rpm's..No bogging or any cutting out. It sounds great and seems to run great, up until 4000 rpm's and that is with the throttle wide open??. I posted up another thread on my max rpm's and what I have done up until now. If ya'll have any input let me know..Thanks for the advice..Hank
