I recently replaced the fuel pump on my 6hp Johnson. Like an idiot I removed the fuel pump and didn't note how the lines attached. I took pictures before i took it off but still couldn't tell how the went on the new one. The fuel pump is a 0438559 model and I have attached a picture. Can someone tell me what goes where. I have a line that goes to tank, a line that goes to primer and the line that goes to engine. I have attached a picture. Thanks!

I don't see any picture, but---The brass fitting in the aluminum base is the pulse line going to the engine. The one molded in the round plastic cap is the fuel IN (coming from tank). The other brass fitting is fuel OUT.

If you want to verify, simply blow into the IN and air should come out the OUT.

What model # for your motor ?-----I thought the 6 hp used a pump mounted directly over the pulse port ?

That is what I was thinking also. Just going by the part number he gave. And also that he said it has a hose "to the engine".
