Fuel pump for 1984 evenrude e70elcrd

My fuel pump has a crack in it. I jb welded it bit cant seem to fine a new or used one. I bought an aftermarket one off ebay that was supposed to fit but doesn't run off idle once in gear. The other fuel pump will run but you have to idle a long for a while then the motor wiull pick up rpms then you can go. Too much throttle too soon and it will die, starving for fuel. New bulb and connections on one line and ant the other line is a couple years ol and same thing happens on either line. I have 3 tanks and it doesnt make a difference which tank. Won't idle well. I know there may be more than 1 issue going on here, but would like to start with a new pump and fuel lines. Once up to speed it will run flawlessly.

That pump should work on your 70 HP !---Why would it not work ?----I would say you do not have a fuel pump problem but something else is going on.------Trouble shooting starts with a compression test on an outboard motor.

Been done, compression is good. These pumps run on crankcase pressure I assume. Maybe an issue with that hose? The pump came with a small felt gasket with a hole in the middle but there was no hole on the motor for it to line up. I didn't use it. Can't see that being the issue but maybe/?

The gasket is used it some applications.----Internet listings ( knowledge ) is not always the best.-----On many motors the fuel pump mounts directly over the pressure port.-----They never did that on those 70 HP models.

To me it sounds like carburetors may need cleaning or throttle plates are opening too early.
