Fuel pump for a 1977 OMC 302 Ford Engine

I am at my wits end trying to find a replacement fuel pump or repair kit for OMC Engine No. 990-230E. But when using lookup diagrams in literature sources, they don't specify a fuel pump part number for this 175 HP engine. Nor does my SELOC manual have anything useful on this topic. This appears to be a double diaphragm pump with a over flow glass bowel to monitor when a diaphragm is ruptured. It appears to be a AC Delco pump...(has "AC" stamped on the top) Does anyone have information that can help me? Thanks

the original pump was most likely a carter M6696

Both the Sierra pump and the Carter pump I bought for my 4.3 are from South Korea, maybe from the same factory? I bought the Sierra a couple of years ago because I was having trouble finding the original Carter, but then was able to source it from eithe Jegs or Summit Racing...About 100-125 for each when on the OMC/BRP catalog, they are charging $235 for the same thing!

Ayuh,...... Now a days it's a nipple in the pump, 'n tygon tubin' to the carb/ flame arrester,.....

Thanks for the input. I'm not sure the sierria part you referenced is the right one, so I am going down to the marina and take a picture of it and try to visually match it. While the overflow jar has fuel in it, the pump it is still working and I hesitate to remove it to find a part number because I am also working on an ignition issue. Almost everything in this boat has been rebuilt or replaced over the past 3 years, but I think I am getting too old to be crawling around in the engine compartment and should sell it. But, when everything is working, I just love this boat. Hope it won't be the death of me.
