I don't have a manual for your engine but be patient; someone will chime in. Meanwhile look on iboats here they will have that pump. You can also Google "fuel pumps for Johnson outboard engines" you should get several hundred hits on that. Good luck

In 1994, all 90, 100, 115 engines used the expensive VRO pump. The pulse line for that fuel pump is a hose connected to the block. Only the 1994 88 hp engine used the small fuel pump. That pump bolts directly to the block to get the pulse signal. You can check out the factory parts diagrams for your specific engine at: epc.brp.com. That should clear things up. If your engine has the small fuel pump, it may have been converted by a prior owner. You have the correct part numbered factory manual.

thats what I did too my 90hp got rid of the vro pump an replace it with a 50.00 pump,,,works great it was also noted as a 25-55 hp motor,a marine mechanic down the road says this pump will work on all size v4 motors.

Got the pump, put it on and it seems to work fine. I'm back to 5400 rpm's @ 24 mph. it just doesn't sound as loud like its not hitting full throttle. But it is much better than it was. Just in time for the weekend. Thanks, Denny

Hey guys. I also have a 1994 115, that the previous owner blocked off the oil injection system. Can I just remove the VRO fuel pump, and replace it with the 0438556 pump, or is there anything else I would have to do. Will this pump suply enough fuel for the 115?
Thanks

Stay with the blocked off VRO. It has a bigger capacity than the 'small' one.

That 438556 pump should work fine. It is the superceded part # for an early 140 crossflow fuel pump.
