Re: fuel pump issue

There sounds like a short between switch and pump. take yur 12 volt tester with switch off and start at pump find where power is coming from. hope this helps, Marcel

Re: fuel pump issue

Either the oil pressure switch is stuck closed or fuel pump relay stuck...its on the plate where ignition module is and looks like below.

You saying this ain't a merc problem? That means you know it's a boat problem! Key switch bad? Being a Sea Ray, that's merc.

It was in the outboard section, Oops! has moved it to the I/O section...

The only way you can be getting power to the pump with the key OFF is if there is a short in the starter motor slave solenoid.. Or someone has hard wired the pump because of the usual problem with the oil pressure switch....

Is this a new boat to you? or is this a fault that has just started on an engine you have been using for a few years...?

Need some history.

Chris.......
