So my father-in-law is trying to get his 1994 Crownline started, it has the 4.3L V-6 in it. He is getting no fuel up at the carb. He is seeing a fuel line coming out from the tank, going in to the fuel/water seperator, then a line coming out of that going to another device that is in the fuel line and has a couple of electrical wires going in to it. I am not anywhere near the boat so that the best decription I have.. Is this thing in the fuel line between the fuel/filter and the carb the pump? or is the pump inside the fuel tank, or does it have a mechanical pump that he is not seeing. thanks..

Re: Fuel Pump Issues maybe

If it has wires coming off of it i would say it is your electric fuel pump. If it is electric you should here it run when you turn the key on.

Have him replace the fuel/water seperator and fuel filter at the carb and try again.
Also check for water in the fuel/water seperator.

Good Luck!

Nope,.... No it Don't....

the fuel pump runs when the starter is engaged, or when the motor is runnin'...

Op,... Yes, that's the fuel pump...

Check the contents of the fuel tank, 'n fuel filter, then replace the filter...
