fuel pump kit

I took my 1974 50 h/p 500 out today and it will only run a short distance and quit. I have to pump the fuel bulb to get it to run and then it quits a short distance and i pump it again to get to the dock. I think i need a kit to fix the fuel pump. Is that hard to replace? I need to buy a book for this motor. It will only run for about 30 sec.

Its fairly simple to change the gaskets and diaphram in the fuel pump. Remove the bolts a few hoses and take it off clean the old gasket material and replace with new parts in the kit re install and go fishing
