1992 Mercruiser 3.0 i4
I got my new fuel line, the correct one for this engine (with no EM endcaps) and stuck the fuel pump on from my older 1984 engine, hoping it would work.
I mean the blocks are the same right?
So i got no fuel coming out of the far end of the fuel line so I took it off
No fuel coming out of the hole in the fuel pump where the fuel line attaches to
No fuel seems to be in the supply line either so I GUESS its not pumping at all.
Took the fuel pump off and saw this (remember this is my 1984 fuel pump on a 92 block)
Is the cam supposed to hit it from below instead of the top like most do?
If so, why does the fuel line go to the left side of the pump instead of the right sight like ive seen on 'upside down' fuel pumps
