Can anyone guide me as to what fuel would be a sufficient and bolt'on replacement for the original on my 1957 SeaKing 25Hp?

Looking at the 1958 22D15 (25hp) manual at http://richardlpaquette.ca/vikingmanuals.htm
I found a pump part number that led nowhere.

Looking at the Evinrude 1964 28hp (a de-rated 30hp, which was an up-rated 25hp) diagram at m a r i n e e n g i n e . com, I see fuel pump 0379297, which was superceeded by 0388685 (which is pricey).
There are also non third party replacements (Sierra for example), but I don't see cross information for older engines.
I suspect any of a number of different pumps could work.

SOME pumps can be rebuilt, but I seem to recall the very oldest were NOT in this class.

If you don't get a response here from an old seadog, try posting at
