Fuel pump same for a '91 35HP and '87 50HP?

Hi everyone and thank you for reading my OP.

Can someone please tell me if the fuel pump for a 1987 Force 50 will fit in a 1991 Force 35HP. The reason I ask is because, as you know from my earlier thread, my 50HP is toast and I saw a 1991 35HP, which needs a new fuel pump. I'm thinking of buying the 35HP and fixing that up if the only problem is the fuel pump.

Are the parts between the two compatible?

I can't tell you for sure, but I can tell you that repairing the 35 HP fuel pump will be easy and cheap.

I went and looked it up-- the two [umps should be interchangeable.

I looked for a new OEM, but seems to be discontinued. Ebay seems to have a used one for around $40 with shipping.
