fuel stabiizers

Can anyone tell me the difference between fuel stabilizers for marine vs automotive use?
My Suzuki 40 and my car are both 4 stroke motors......
what's the deal?
Also, for winter storage on my 6hp and 40hp suzuki, I was told to double the amoutn of stabilizer for storager,
but how often should I run them in wintertime?

The standard Red Stabil is the stabilizer I use in everything. The Green Marine Stabil is advertised to have more corrosion inhibitors in it but it costs a good bit more. If you put the Stabil in your fuel and fog it some, then you really shouldn't have to start it up during the winter. If no fogging, then remove spark plug and squirt some outboard motor oil in there, crank motor over to distribute, then drain your carb float chamber...set for the winter!...

Either of them works. So does SeaFoam, Startron, and gazillion other products. Any of them are better than nothing regardless what fuel you burn.

I've noticed that STP and CRC have intruduced some competitive products to the Seafoam, come in 16 ounce cans, prices are a couple of bucks less than Seafoam. Walmart, Autozone, etc. carry these. I'm a big believer in fuel stabilizers, the installation of a Fuel/water Separater and periodic draining of carbs to prevent fuel related problems that can be a real headache and expensive$$$

Scientifically speaking and after much intensive research the one you want to use is "marine formula stabil" because..........They have the best TV commercials!!
