Not sure if this is the right place for this thread... ?

Bayliner Capri LS1700, 20 gallon tank. Want to buy the correct size sending unit. WEMA SSS6 (6" length) is what I think it needs but not sure.
Any help is appreciated or what to measure?
Thank you, Dave

They are pretty easy to figure out. Remove the sender and measure to the bottom of the tank, and get on about 1/4 shy Many are adjustable so it's not that critical. Now if you get the tube style then the depth is more critical.

There is also variance in the resistance values but I fairly sure Bayliner uses the US standard. Also in many cases there is a brand name and part number on top the sender

Thank you, yes WEMA is the tube style. Bayliner gave me a reference # 1747284 and manufacturer was WEMA. They also mentioned the size being short of the tank depth. I figure it's over 6" deep which would make the SSS6.
I'm taking the sender out this Saturday before ordering a new one just to be sure.
Thanks again, Dave
