Fuel tank sending unit fix

My first post and I thought I would pass along this little tid-bit. The ethanol in the gas dissolved the sealant on the cork float of the sending unit on my Pro-Line. The fuel saturated float would not float. The replacement sending unit was $60. I found this replacement on the web.Gauge Float Only. I ground off the little "tits" on the float shaft. Removed the retaining washer and old float and pushed the new float on. I replaced the washer and flattened out the shaft in a vice to retain it. Works great now.

Hope this helps any other "Frugal" boaters.:joyous:
