Hey guys, well im getting the itch to start working on the boat and i have a question involving fuel tanks. I have a 18ft 1966 starcraft with a 110 i/o. I beleive its a holiday. I have found two fuel caps on her. One is in the bow and one is on the right rear deck. What size tanks were on these boats and was there really two? What are you guys using as replacements.

I put mine under the deck of my 66 Starcraft holiday. Saved a lot of room. It is a Moeller FT1826 18gal and I bought it from our sponsor of this blog for around $300. Comes with sending unit that wires right up to the old stock gauge. As you can see it fits well, I put mine forward because I added a lot of weight on the back i.e. kicker motor, dual battery system etc. The filler and vent goes nicely at the top deck, left about hmmm a foot forward the wind shield.

Re: fuel tank

I have the same boat and I believe almost all is original. I believe the tank size is 9 gallons. I am currently getting the itch again to complete my restoration. I only have one tank on one side. The battery is on the other side of the back seats.
