I am trying to find a tank similar to my old one. I'd like to avoid the cost of having a custom tank fabricated for me. Does anyone have any stores or websites they recommend for me to try? FYI the boat is a 1982 Wellcraft V20 cuddy cabin. The old tank was 60 gallons and was 26"W x 60"L, but was not a rectangle as the bottom of the tank was angled to fit the shape of the hull. I do have the exact dimensions, but do not need an exact match. Thanks for any referrals.

There are standard fuel tanks made in the shape you described. You might look at the Tiempo and Moeller sites and see what they have. You may need to make a deck for the tank to sit on if you cannot find a close enough match.

EDIT: Please use the PM system. No selling in the open forum. Thanks.

Located in Ft Pierce about 3 hours south of you. I'm in there once a week or so planning my next project. 100s of fuels tanks, water tanks, hatches, parts, you name it, they got, new and used.

Thanks for the response. Marine Connection was my first source, but didn't have one close enough. Also, the Moeller tank that fits is nearly $1,000 plus shipping. Still looking for one in a liquidation warehouse, but I've also emailed my dimensions to Dad's and Custom. I'll try Great Lakes Skipper.

Thanks... 3 months of searching and I never came across this. I was just about to order a fabricated aluminum tank for nearly $800 including shipping, then found a tank with my specific dimensions here for less than $400. Poly, too. Funny, it's a Moeller tank but I didn't see it on Moeller's website or several of their retailers like Great Lakes Skipper, etc. I am sacrificing 8 gallons of capacity, but overall this is going to work much better for me.

BTW, if anyone is looking for a custom fabricated aluminum tank, I highly recommend C.L. Mattson & Co. in Sarasota. They had the best price, but also offered the best service (I had alot of questions).
