fuel tanks

Hi guys new here on iboat and getting back into boating.
my old johnson died and I picked up a Suzuki DT 55 oil injected.
My question is can I use the tanks from the johnson and just change the fitting
at the motor? Also can I connect two tanks together with a "TEE"
and run the motor drawing off the two tanks at the same time.

If one tank runs dry before the other it will suck air

Yes you can just change out the fittings, but I would rather put a switch over tap on the T-system so you can switch the tanks over when the one is empty ....
