A family member recently had their fully restored motor stolen. For insurance purposes, what is the motor worth? It was recently restored and rebuilt this summer.

Those Johnson 5hp motors are about as common a motor as you're likely to find. Johnson made tens of thousands of them. The upside is that it makes it easy for a collector to acquire them cheaply. The downside is that your fmaily member probably has more time and money into the motor than it is worth. Really clean ones might bring $100, even on eBay. They're just too common to bring the big bucks...<br />- Scott
