Thought it might be yours..

:D

When I was 17 and fearless yeah I could have easily been building that in the backyard to take white water rafting down the Nantahala.

Now at 43 and a little wiser and with slightly deeper pockets not so much.:der::eek::D

That brought back good memories. I haven't been down the Nantahala for a long, long time. Was always a blast going down those rapids. My sister lives across the mountain in Robbinsville.

We have some good white water rafting near us ( The Nolichuckey River and the Watauga ), but the Nantahala is my favorite. It's about 2 and a half hours from us so we make a Friday evening Saturday trip out of it. Lots of fun and a good day on the water. We also have family in South Carolina and do an Edisto River trip every few years or so. That raft would probably survive the Edisto trip easier as it's more of a leisurely float versus fast water.

Still not planning on building or buying something that sketchy at my age.:nono:

My 17 year24 year olds if they saw that add would allready be scrounging through the garage for wood to build it. Still pretty safe it wouldn't get built because they can't work together for more than 2 hours before it turns to war:fencing::facepalm:.

I read it as a total of $1K with the trailer, not an additional $1K. Interested now?

I new I had recognized the name of that river.... My parents used to live in Franklin NC, and we would take trips to the Cherokee Indian Reservation with our kids when we visited... we tubbed a river in that area....don't know if it was that exact river.... Now my mom lives in Waynesville ......love that area!!!

as for the boat.... the motor has to be worth the asking price of the whole rig...if it runs halfway decent!!!!!!!!!
