Fuse Type?? '82 J35elcnd main ignition

Read on before you laugh right out of your chair. Just put a new OEM wiring harness on this one. Alas, the fuse recep came empty. I've tried two different types of glass Buss fuses. AGC and ASW-A. One was too long, the other too big in diameter, if I remember right. I live pretty far out in the sticks, so getting to a parts store is a planned event. Does the OEM fuse receptacle take the solid european type fuse? I ran the motor using alligator clips and a glass fuse. No problems. Thanks, KR

Sorry, I don't know the type number, but it takes a 1/4" diameter glass fuse, 20 amp, same as the too-long one, but shorter. Are you so far out in the sticks that you don't even have a gas station or something that may have fuses? Wanna trade houses? I have one in the middle of the rat race. 35 cents senior citizen rate on the bus to the Wal-Mart.

The fuse you need is BUSS AGA 20. 1/4 in. dia x 9/16 long.
