Thanks for the reply. And thanks for some confirmation. The engine seems to be very strong, and even with the wet plug runs good. fortunatly when the guy stored it he filled the cylinders with lubricant, and they look like new, I think I still see hash marks on the cylinders. Does yours spit water out the two holes in the back, just below the mount? I get tons of water from there and the exhaust, but not much from the by-pass. Im thinking the pipe seal might be bad filling the lower unit. oh well, new pump, and now fuel pump will be in soon.
