Or better known as electrolysis. Had a set of Lenco electric tabs installed two years ago on my Pursuit. Have had the boat out of the water several times since then to do basic cleaning, etc. The other day I was pressure washing the bottom and literally blew off the top of a bolt head securing the tabs to the actuator.
The boat is moored in salt water at a ( what I thought ) safe dock.
So today, after really getting into the whole mess I discovered several of the screws attaching the tabs to the boat hull were pretty eaten up. Four of them were completely gone, just the screw heads showing.
Is the dock "hot", do I have a really bad grounding problem? And now after sanding the bottom of the tabs I can also see some pitting going on there as well. Where do I start looking to fix this problem?
