Kosmo,
Your engine was built by Eska for Montgomery Wards in 1986. A good place for Eska parts and manuals is here:
Brix Enterprises

Since the powerhead was built by Techumseh, you may be able to find parts for it from a mower shop. Bring the broken part, but don't let them know it came from an outboard! :)

Good luck!

Hi, Kosmo.

A common mistake made by folks using air cooled outboards is to run them with a 50:1 fuel mix using TC-W3 (water cooled outboard) oil.

If that is the case the engine is overheating from inadequate lubrication and trying to seize.

Air cooled 2 strokes run much higher temps than water cooled outboards and require a richer mix of a different oil.

Try a 20:1 mix using Chainsaw oil. That Tecumseh powerhead was originally designed as a chainsaw engine, and needs the same mix and the same oil as a chainsaw.

Good luck. :)
