my gamefisher 7.5 blew a head gasket. I replaced it thinking no real problem. Then I went out in the boat and it blew again so I replaced that one. Needless to say this happened several times. There are 2 hole on the gaskets surface that lead to the outside of the head, I take it those holes are there so if the head gasket does blow you still have some compression to get to shore. This is where mine where blowing so I decided to plug them up and so far seems to be doing the job. Before the surface area between the hole and the piston was so small the it was pinching the gasket making it weak so I did away with the hole.

The head is warped. You might be able to flatten the gasket surface by laying a sheet of medium sandpaper upside-down on a flat surface and sand-down the head. But if it'm not mistaken, the gasket surface is recessed into the head? You might try using two gaskets. I never could figure out those extra holes. They probably also fit something else that Tecumseh makes.
