what would be classic symptoms of incorrect point gap......either too close, or too wide????

Re: gapping points

To close may run better at higher
RPM and too wide would run worse at higher RPM.

Either case may sputter, backfire or not start. It is always important to use the lube provide with the kit so the rubbing blocks don't wear.
