Hi All!

Just looking for anyone's input on upgrading fishfinders. I am currently running an Eagle SupraPro ID but want to upgrade to either a Garmin 240 or Humminbird Legend 1000. Any opinions on either of these 2 models? I fish for a wide variety of freshwater species but the majority of my time is spent trolling for trout and salmon in NY.

Thanks in advance for your help and as usual, tight lines to all!

Can't help you a whole lot on freshwater, but I know for saltwater use I would go for the Garmin 240 hands down.

I would have to pick to 240 as well, I looked closely at the Legend and felt that in the sun it would be really hard to see, as it’s sort of hard to see running under normal lightning.

Howdy, TT.

Of all the posts here about FFs that didn't work, or didn't work right, I don't remember even one that wasn't a Hummingbird.

I remember the most positive comments being about Lowrance and Eagle (a Lowrance product).

Our family fleet has two Lowrances, one Eagle and an Interphase scanner.

All of our GPS are Garmin.

:)
