Hey guys Ive been troubleshooting my gas line for air leaks and I think I have a problem with this fitting. Do these go bad? I notice gas drips back out of it a little bit when I disconnect from the primer line and I took it off and cleaned it and I am able to blow air through it both ways. This is the fitting that comes out of my engine. Heres a pic of the fitting. Thanks2012-05-10 16.32.16.jpg

Re: Gas fitting

The mating fitting has replaceable 'O' rings. See your BRP Evinrude dealer.

Re: Gas fitting

Which one is dripping, the one on the hose or the one in your picture? There is nothing to stop fuel from running out the one in your picture, so that is normal. Newer models do have a check valve to stop that, if it bothers you enough to spend the $$$ to change it.

Re: Gas fitting

No it doesnt bother me because that only happens when the fitting is disconnected which is very rare. I will check out the o rings though..Thank you.
