Gas issue on Volvo penta.

I have an AQ131A that I'm having a fuel issue with. Not new to boating but not an expert. For some reason when I connect the hose from the fuel pump to the fuel filter which then leads to the gas tank I'm getting pressure built up and the engine will slowly die. If I put that same hose directly into a gas can it runs great. As soon as I hook it back to that filter setup it builds pressure and dies again. Any ideas?

Check your tank vent and your anti siphon valve

Any idea where I would find them? I know there's a vent next to the filler cap on the outside. Not sure about anything else..

Fuel vent is next to the fuel fill. Anti siphon valve is the fitting the hose is connected to on the fuel tank pickup
